Administered during the fall term, SENSE focuses on the "front door" of the college experience. Grounded in research about what works in retaining and supporting entering students, SENSE collects and analyzes data about institutional practices and student behaviors in the earliest weeks of college. These data help understand students' critical early experiences and improve institutional practices that affect student success in the first college year.
Administered during the spring to mostly returning students, CCSSE asks about institutional practices and student behaviors that are highly correlated with student learning and retention.
Survey was conducted October 13, 2017 through October 27, 2017 as part of the process to update the COD facilities master plan. Two surveys were conducted, one to students and the other to faculty and staff. There were 122 students that responded and 453 faculty/staff.
In spring 2018, a survey was sent to members of the Board for COD’s Foundation. There were 27 responses to the survey.
In spring 2018, merchants who participate in the Street Fair at COD were sent a survey regarding their participation and 102 vendors responded.
ASCOD (Associated Students of College of the Desert) requested a survey to students regarding smoking on campus. The survey was sent electronically to all students and 479 students provided responses.
