Counselors are available for students to speak with on a drop-in basis. In drop-in counseling, counselors can answer quick questions or help with problems that require immediate attention in-person or via phone. If your question requires more than 15 minutes to address, the counselor may schedule you for a follow-up appointment.

The drop-in list normally closes a half an hour before closing, however, due to the high volume of students, it may close earlier.

Disabled Students Programs and Services is committed to providing students with disabilities equal access to a community college education. Through the utilization of specialized instructional programs and disability related services, DSPS encourages and fosters independence and assists students in attaining their educational and vocational goals.
DSPS currently serves approximately 998 students each year with disabilities at College of the Desert, assisting them to achieve their educational goals by providing the services and programs needed to participate in the college classroom.

EOPS is a state-funded program that provides educational support services to eligible students who have historically experienced economic and educational disadvantages. EOPS assists eligible students in obtaining their educational goals by providing additional support through counseling, tutoring, book service, assistance in transferring to a four-year university, and other services.
