If you're a 2025 high school graduate from the Coachella Valley and would like to be considered for our EDGE make-up session during the Winter semester at College of the Desert, please email us at edge@collegeofthedesert.edu with the following information:
- Full Name
- COD Student ID Number
- Name of your High School
- Graduation Date
We will review your information and follow up with next steps.
To be eligible for the plEDGE program, students must complete a summer engagement requirement by choosing one of the following options:
Option A: EDGE Non-Credit Course
Option B: Credit Course
EDGE offers three-week non-credit courses in English, mathematics, and student development. To qualify for plEDGE, students must complete at least one class. Students can take one, two, or all three courses within the three sessions.
EDGE Non-Credit Courses:
- English EDGE (ENG-300)
- Math/Statistics EDGE (MATH-300 or SOC-300)
- Student Development EDGE (COUN-300)
Students must pass at least one of their EDGE non-credit courses to fulfill the summer engagement requirement.
If you need assistance selecting the EDGE courses, please contact the EDGE plEDGE team to speak to an Outreach Specialist.
Enroll in a six- or eight-week Summer Credit Course. Students who register for a summer credit course will select classes that align with their educational goals and are on their student educational plan.
Summer Credit Courses: Are no longer available!
Students must pass their courses with a C or better to fulfill the plEDGE summer engagement requirement.
Failure to successfully complete your summer credit course could affect your financial aid eligibility.
