The Tutoring and Academic Skills Center (TASC) at College of the Desert offers a variety of workshops throughout the semester to help students strengthen their academic skills and feel more confident in their coursework.
Workshops are free and open to all currently enrolled COD students, with sessions available in person at the Palm Desert and Indio campuses, as well as online via Zoom.

Working on an essay, research paper, or class writing assignment? Our Fall 2026 Writing Workshops provide practical support throughout the writing process, from developing ideas and organizing arguments to integrating quotations and revising your work.
Led by COD English faculty Kristie Camacho, Reid Sagara, Brian Fotinakes, Rebecca Gaydos, and Heather Sanchez, these workshops provide helpful strategies you can apply directly to your writing assignments.

Led by Nikki Giuseffi, these workshops are open to students at all skill levels.
