Overview of TRiO - Educational Talent Search Program

TRiO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded post-secondary outreach program designed to motivate 500 middle school and high school students to excel in school while encouraging their pursuit at a post-secondary education. The goal of the program is to prepare students towards being competitive and eligible applicants for a post-secondary institution upon graduating from high school. 

Students accepted into the ETS program will join a community where they will be supported and encouraged to succeed personally and academically through the programs efforts of academic, career, and college supports until high school graduation.

Program Services: 

We offer a variety of bilingual services to our program participants and their families. All of our program services are 100% free to participants! Services for the 2024-2025 academic year will be held in-person and some virtually.

Academic: 

• Tutoring and mentoring
• Academic workshops
• STEM exploration
• SAT/ACT preparation
• SAT/ACT registration

Cultural, Career, and College Knowledge: 

• Opportunities to visit colleges/universities
• 1-on-1 and group academic advising
• College and career planning and exploration
• Assistance with college applications
• Assistance with financial aid application and scholarships
• Cultural Presentations and Field Trips
