Deborah Cox

Deborah Cox has served as a College of the Desert staff accompanist since 1997. Over the years she has derived great enjoyment from collaborating with the faculty and students. She has also accompanied the California Desert Chorale and various West Coast Opera Theater productions.

In Deborah’s trio, the Ocotillo Trio, she plays both piano and bassoon. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in performance on bassoon. Currently she plays principal bassoon in the Coachella Valley Symphony and has performed with the Riverside Lyric Opera Orchestra, Inland Empire Orchestra, and the Redlands Symphony.
