- Email the file that you wish to have remediated to Remediation at CommonLook and copy Megan Carey
- CommonLook will provide a fixed, firm price for full WCAG 2.0 AA or Section 508 compliance
- Upon acceptance of the quote, CommonLook will remediate and return the compliant PDF
document
- Each document is accompanied by a compliance report.

Working with Vendors
- Please remember, anytime an outside vendor remediates a document for you, when you
receive the finished document:
- Verify that all information is accurate
- Verify no changes were made to content that you did not authorize
- Verify any form fields work as expected
- Verify the document passes the Adobe Acrobat Accessibility Check
Request a document compliance report and accessibility conformance certificate, if
available from the vendor.
What to Request
You can include the following list with any request for an accessible PDF document:
- Fix scanned documents (convert the image of text into searchable text with the correct
reading order and structure)
- Review and correct the logical structure of the file, verify the tab order
- Check and correct tables, including proper tagging of complex tables
- Review alternative text, request that you provide alternative text if necessary
- Correctly mark headings, lists, references, footnotes, endnotes and Tables of Contents
- Review form elements, correct accessibility issues with radio buttons
- Create accessible fillable forms per your request
- Correctly tag callouts, other annotations, and links
- Test each document with at least one type of assistive technology that makes use of
tags, such as screen reading software
- Ensure the document passes Adobe’s Acrobat Accessibility Checker
- Provide a Section 508 or WCAG 2.0 AA conformance report or certificate.
